ADA is the native utility token of Cardano, launched in 2017. The founders of Cardano are Jeremy Wood and Charles Hoskinson, the latter of whom is also the co-founder of Ethereum.

As of 2019, Cardano ranks 12th among cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
